Core flow tests

In this chapter we will discuss two tests of the implementation of the core flow model which was described extensively in chapter 6. The two tests include an order test which test the order of the implemented numerical method and a test which compares a semi-analytical solution to the solution obtained by the implementation. We should, however, note that in addition to these two major tests a high number of tests have been issued to verify individual parts of the code, eg the functions which calculate the void fraction ( $<\!{\alpha}\!>$) and the point of void departure ($h_{\ell,d}$). In these cases the function values are compared to results calculated by hand. Even though these tests are very important we will not burden the reader with these details.
